Elevating the Collection:
My Hand-Embellished Canvas Prints
When I decided to launch this new collection, I knew I wanted to offer something more than just a standard reproduction. While digital printing captures the colours of my work, it can’t quite capture the soul—the way light dances off a thick brushstroke or the subtle shimmer of a metallic highlight.
That’s where hand embellishing comes in. For this collection, I am personally embellishing a curated collection of canvas after they leave the printers to add tactile details and physical depth.
Step One
My prints are created using 3D scanning technology with my print partner, Logical choice. Based in Newquay, Cornwall this Art Guild Printers takes my original artworks and 3D-Scans them using the latest scanning technology.
The images are then colour graded to match my original artworks and then Printed with museum grade Archival Inks onto Hahnemühle Daguerre 400gsm Poly Bright White Canvas.
Step 2
Quality control. Once the canvas arrive here at my studio by the sea, they are meticulously checked to make sure they are ready for stretching with my framers. Each canvas is skilfully stretched with sustainably sourced tulip wood stretcher bars.
Step 3
Hand Embellishing. The canvases arrive back from the framers ready for hand finishing. I use a mixture of Acrylic and 24K gold leaf, please note gold leaf is only used on paintings that have rock details. Each hand embellished print is completely unique. the process involves highlighting areas such as the rolling waves, rock details and the characters in the surf or on the beach.
Step 4
Once I have finished the hand embellishment process I hang the canvas in my studio for curing and also to make sure i’m happy with the embellishments. Sometimes I add extra detail if I feel it requires it, it’s a process that takes time. Everything is considered on each piece making each one completely unique and created with love.
The final process is to take the finished canvases to the framers for framing. Each piece is framed in FSC sustainable solid Ash frames, each one is then hand finished with white lime paste to give each frame a sun bleached coastal finish.

This stunning boutique hotel set sign above the beach at Gara Rock is the perfect location to view my artworks and enjoy a drink or meal. The hotel is open is all, including dogs. Its the perfect location and can easily be reached from Salcombe.
The Ordering Process
Every piece in this curated collection of hand-embellished prints is truly special, with a limited run of just ten prints each.
Because I pour so much love, care, and attention into creating these unique pieces, please allow up to four weeks from your order date for completion. I want to ensure every artwork is absolutely perfect before it leaves my studio. Occasionally, I may already have your chosen piece ready in the studio when you place your order. If so, it will be ready to head to you as soon as we arrange delivery!
To make sure your artwork arrives in flawless condition, I partner with a specialist white-glove art courier. While they don't run a daily delivery service, they will work closely with you to find a convenient delivery time that fits your schedule.
