Lucy Young is a British seascape artist with a passion for capturing beaches from around the world through her unique aerial perspective. “For me, art is so much more than something beautiful – but beauty is a wonderful place to start,” she explains. Lucy encourages collectors to choose original artworks instinctively, following the pieces that make their hearts skip a beat. When placed in a home, her paintings offer more than decoration—they become a daily window to the heart.
Her highly recognisable style blends subtle, oceanic shades with skilful play of light, evoking a peaceful, airy, and idyllic view of coastal life. Each piece invites the viewer to experience the expansive beauty of the sea from above.
Lucy’s professional career began soon after graduating, and her contemporary approach to seascapes quickly gained attention. In 2012, her work was discovered by one of the UK’s leading fine art distributors, helping her establish a presence in high-calibre galleries both in the UK and internationally.
Today, she works independently from the South West of England, creating several collections each year. Many are offered exclusively to her newsletter subscribers. She also annually exhibits at the AAF Battersea, London where she has had consistent sell out shows.

Each piece in this collection begins as a high-fidelity archival print before undergoing a meticulous hand-embellishment process in my studio. By layering heavy-body acrylics and genuine 24k gold leaf directly onto the canvas, I transform every print into a unique, tactile work of art. Strictly limited to ten signed and numbered editions, these pieces offer the soul of an original with the curation of a print.

For me, painting isn't just about capturing a view; it’s about documenting a twenty-year love affair with the coast. There is a specific rhythm to the shoreline—the pull of the tide, the shifting salt-air, and the way the light dances across the water—that has been the heartbeat of my creative life for two decades.
While the entire coastline offers endless inspiration, my heart always finds its way back to Salcombe.
